Roc Day: Lambs, Wool, & Spinning Circle at Bodega Pastures

Celebrate ‘Roc Day’ with us at Bodega Pastures on Saturday, January 9th from 10am-4pm. Traditionally celebrated on January 7th, Roc Day (or St Distaff’s Day) was the day in England where spinners began spinning again, after the break from working during Christmas holiday. We’ll recognize our own Rock Day with tours of the newly-born lambs, a spinning circle, spinning tutorials, and a showing of Bodega Pastures’ raw fleeces for sale– mixtures of Corriedale,  Romney, and Navajo-Churro. Come on out!  The event itself is free, although donations are accepted and raw fleece will be available for purchase.  Bring a bag lunch, or something to share at the potluck! And make sure to bring a camera for pictures of the lambs…
