Move with greater Ease, Efficiency and Safety.  

For Craftspeople and others whose creativity and work depend on the health and skillful coordination of their hands.

Enjoy gentle movement sequences and explorations based on the FELDENKRAIS METHOD® and BODY-MIND CENTERING® that provide the space to safely discover habitual patterns and make more effective choices to reduce pain, support healing and increase awareness, skill, fluidity and balance. Movements are based on developmental patterns underlying all human movement and the interconnections between body systems.

Workshop includes discussion and practical applications for all manual work, injury prevention and rehabilitation.  Enhance posture, alignment, daily tasks, dance and fitness.

Teacher Bio:

With over 40 years experience in the fields of movement, education and healing, Marghe guides students in moving more clearly and comfortably and with greater awareness, safety, efficiency and skill.

Marghe Mills-Thysen trained with Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen.

She is a certified Feldenkrais Method® teacher and practitioner, a Body-Mind Centering® and anatomy teacher, creator of audio movement lessons, the DVD “Strengthening Your Immune System Through Mind & Movement”® and co-author with Ms. Cohen of DEVELOPMENTAL MOVEMENT THERAPY.

 She has taught at Dominican University, Kaiser Hospital, Esalen Institute, Physical Therapy & Movement Education Center, the College of Marin, Mills College, Sonoma State University,  Santa Rosa Junior College and the American Dance Therapy Association. Marghe currently teaches “Moving Well, Taking Care” at the Sebastopol Community Center and works with adults and children in her Sebastopol private practice.

She is also an anatomical illustrator, quilter, and knitter of hats.
