Learn to make your own eco-prints!
This workshop is an introduction to eco-printing. Using natural plant material the workshop will cover how the basic techniques of eco-printing. Course will be hands-on working with plants to make your own eco-printed silk scarf. It is perfect for beginners and people with more experience. The emphasis will be on place-based design and dyeing. Bring comfortable clothes (layers for different temperatures), sun protection, and water.

Teacher Bio: Chelsea Wills is an artist and food researcher. Her studio practice is interdisciplinary, including dyeing, photography, painting, and community organizing, teaching, ethnographic research, agricultural practices, and archiving. She often collaborates with scientists, farmers, and cooks in her work. She draws heavily on her long-term interests in food, plants, and everyday things. She has taught and shown nationally and internationally at a variety of museums, universities, and galleries.
