A class covering the basics of how to spin yarn using a spinning wheel, taught by Marie Hoff. In this class series we’ll cover: drafting & spinning, equipment maintenance & care, anatomy of a spinning wheel, basics of wool classing & breeds, gauges of yarn, washing & finishing. Prior experience is great, though this class is also for the complete beginner. If you have a wheel already, bring it! If not yet, you’ll learn here on ours (a single treadle Lendrum).
Cost: $35 per class or all 4 classes for $100. Includes 1 ounce of local wool roving.
When: Fridays June 5, 12, 19, 26 - Either noon-2pm or 6pm-8pm (you pick which time slot you prefer)
